Invisible Protection /// Flawless Finish

Paint Protection Film
(PPF)

What is Paint Protection film?

Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a clear polyurethane material that can be applied to your car’s painted surfaces for long term, physical protection. It’s basically a screen protector for your iPhone (or Android device).. or in this case, your precious car!

Originally designed by the US Military in the 1980s to help protect helicopter rotors from debris and other intrusions, the PPF industry today is valued at many hundreds of millions of dollars and protects some of the world’s finest sports & super-cars.

The virtually invisible film protects the underlying paintwork from stone chips, scratches & swirls caused by everyday driving and road debris as well as boasting impressive self-healing abilities and a super glossy finish.

Working closely alongside SunTek UK to offer the best possible finish and protection. With a manufacturer backed 12-year warranty, state of the art design software and a vast pattern database, all templates are pre-cut in-house and tweaked where necessary to offer the most seamless fit & finish possible.

What are the Benefits?

  • Protection: Shields your vehicle’s paintwork from stone chips, light scratches, environmental contaminants, and other external damage.
  • OEM Preservation: Maintains the integrity of the original factory finish, reducing the need for costly resprays and repairs.
  • Long-Term Value: Helps retain your vehicle’s resale value by preserving a like-new appearance over time.
  • Self-Healing Technology: Minor scratches and swirl marks naturally diminish with exposure to heat, keeping a defect free finish all year round.
  • Tailored Coverage: Choose protection for high-impact zones such as the bonnet, bumpers, and mirrors – or opt for full-body coverage for maximum peace of mind.
FAQs

PPF FAQs

+

-

How long does PPF last?

The lifespan of PPF depends on the brand you choose, how well it’s maintained and the conditions it’s exposed to - for example, a cherished, garage-kept "Sunday drive" vehicle versus one that sees frequent track use.

Manufacturer warranties typically range from 5 to 10 years, but with proper care and annual inspections, PPF can often exceed its warranty period.

+

-

Will it change the appearance of my car?

When installed correctly, PPF is virtually invisible. Extra efforts are made in-house to edit the available patterns for precise, discreet coverage as well as the safe removal of trims, lights, badges etc for a bespoke, perfect fit for your vehicle. PPF is designed to enhance and protect your vehicle’s original paint without altering its colour or finish.

Many modern films even add a subtle gloss enhancement while still maintaining a completely factory appearance. Matte and satin options are also available if you’d like to intentionally change the look of your vehicle while still benefiting from full paint protection.

+

-

How does PPF protect my car?

PPF acts as a durable, semi self-healing barrier that safeguards your paintwork from stone chips, scratches, road debris and environmental contaminants such as bird droppings and UV exposure. It helps maintain your vehicle’s OEM finish while protecting its long-term value.

+

-

Is PPF better than ceramic coatings?

PPF provides a physical barrier that helps protect against stone chips, scratches, and other impact-related damage. Ceramic coatings, on the other hand, form a chemical layer that enhances gloss and makes paintwork easier to maintain by repelling water, dirt and contaminants.

For many owners, the ideal solution is to combine both: install paint protection film for maximum impact protection, and then apply a ceramic system over the film (and any exposed paint) to boost hydrophobic performance, add extra gloss, and make cleaning even easier.

+

-

What areas of my car should I protect with PPF?

High-impact areas such as the front bumper, bonnet, front wings, and wing mirrors are highly recommended, as they’re most vulnerable to chips and road debris.

For maximum protection and complete peace of mind, full-body PPF is available to cover the entire vehicle.

+

-

How do I care for my car after PPF is installed?

Adopting a “safe wash” technique is important for any car. Use gentle, pH-neutral chemicals, soft microfibre mitts and drying towels and implement the two-bucket method.

A car treated with PPF should be cared for in much the same way. Avoid roadside or automated car washes, don’t use harsh chemicals, and—if using a pressure washer—select a wide fan spray (not a jet), keep the nozzle at least 30–60 cm away and avoid spraying directly at seams and edges.

+

-

Can PPF be removed or replaced?

Although PPF is designed for long-lasting performance, it can be safely removed or replaced whenever required. Whether it’s due to damage, natural ageing or a change in coverage preference, proper removal ensures the film is lifted without affecting the original paintwork.

Once removed, your vehicle’s pristine paint is revealed - shielded from the everyday wear and tear the film was designed to absorb. Fresh PPF can then be applied to restore complete protection, preserving its factory finish and maintaining its long-term appearance and value.

+

-

Is PPF worth it for my car?

Absolutely. If you want to protect your car from daily wear, keep it looking immaculate, and maintain its value, PPF is an excellent investment for any car enthusiast.
